On Monday, Volodymyr Lytvyn, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, attended the ceremony dedicated to the beginning of a new academic year at the National Technical University of Ukraine "Kyiv Polytechnic Institute". Thus, Volodymyr Lytvyn attended the ceremony of students´ initiation.
"I know the feelings of every individual who became a student today. Each of you thinks: it happened, I am a student!", - stated V.Lytvyn.
V.Lytvyn congratulated new students on this event that "will serve as a guide of their whole life". "However, there is one condition, - he stated. If the hard work you completed having passed the exams and entered the university, and the knowledge you obtained at school are put into practice".
V.Lytvyn stated that "the spirit itself, the very atmosphere of the scientific schools that enrich Kyiv Polytechnic Institute" would be beneficial for the students.
He wished that the young people set the highest life standard and reached it both in their studies, and in the career. V.Lytvyn availed himself of the opportunity and expressed his gratitude to the parents who brought up such children.
Commenting on the today´s event, V.Lytvyn declared that the State should exert every effort to raise the demand for science, education and high technologies, which requires that Ukraine be a State of innovations.
